=The Mana World Donations=

Donations sent to The Mana World are processed by [http://spi-inc.org/ Software in the Public Interest] (SPI), a non-profit organization which TMW is a member of.

SPI qualifies as a domestic public charity for purposes of US tax law. '''Many US taxpayers can receive a tax deduction''' for their donations to SPI. As a US non-profit, SPI is unable to provide donation tax benefits under non-US tax systems, with limited treaty-based exceptions for Canadian, Mexican, and Israeli taxpayers who have US source income.

All transaction costs (such as the fees charged to process credit cards and wire transfers) '''are deducted''' from the contribution. 5% of the remainder is deducted for SPI overhead. The remaining money is held by SPI on behalf of The Mana World. Once held by SPI, funds may only be transferred to another 501(c)3 US non-profit with a compatible purpose. Examples of such non-profits include the Apache Software Foundation, the Software Freedom Conservancy, and the Free Software Foundation.

Since The Mana World currently has no operating costs whatsoever, please consider donating directly to SPI, which will in turn re-distribute your donations among [http://spi-inc.org/projects/ sister projects], where most needed.

This proposal is to enable npc creation from Tiled. It could even provide a way to add a "npc finder" to manaplus so that players can easily know where a npc is (manaplus would simply have to look at the tmx).
Should not be used for floating npcs (no map).

== Branching ==
A branch is a version of the code each branch is a different version. By default, when using git, you are on the master branch which is the main version. However, when using forks, your master branch should always stay a perfect copy, a mirror of the master branch of the original repository (upstream). When you want to make a modification you should always create a new branch. Never work on the master branch.

Let's say you want to make a modification to client data:
* go to <nowiki>https://github.com/<username>/tmwa-client-data</nowiki>
* If it says "This branch is even with themanaworld:master" you can proceed. If it says the branch is behind themanaworld:master, follow the steps of "Updating from upstream". If it says the branch is ahead of themanaworld:master please seek help on IRC.

* Type the name of your new branch. The name can be anything. If, for example, I wanted to work on the npc "Eurni" I could put something like "eurni-update" as branch name.

The Mana World operates as a non-profit as part of its membership in [http://spi-inc.org/ Software in the Public Interest] (SPI).

SPI qualifies as a domestic public charity for purposes of US tax law. '''Many US taxpayers can receive a tax deduction''' for their donations to SPI. As a US non-profit, SPI is unable to provide donation tax benefits under non-US tax systems, with limited treaty-based exceptions for Canadian, Mexican, and Israeli taxpayers who have US source income.

All transaction costs (such as the fees charged to process credit cards and wire transfers) '''are deducted''' from the contribution. 5% of the remainder is deducted for SPI overhead.
